Midwest Trans* & Queer Wellness Initiative

The Cincinnati Trans* Community Group (CTCG) is a social community group parented by the Midwest Trans* Queer Wellness Initiative. CTCG works to build community and social support networks within the Greater Cincinnati Trans* (transgender, transsexual, genderqueer, gender non-conforming, fluid, and gender questioning/processing) Community. CTCG meets regularly to talk, make new friends, and have fun!

CTCG Meeting Schedule:

CTCG hosts three structured support/discussion meetings a month as well as several social events throughout the month. Regular meeting times and locations are listed below. For more events be sure to check facebook or contact us to join the email listserv!

 Every 2nd Wednesday, 7pm - 9pm - Trans* Night at Caracole 

  for trans* (anyone under the transgender or transsexual umbrella, genderqueer, 

gender non-conforming, fluid, and gender questioning/processing) people only.

Caracole is non-smoking, physically accessible, on the bus line, has a parking lot, is child friendly, and has two all-gender bathrooms.

Every 3rd Wednesday 6pm-7pm - Partners and Significant Others Night  Coffee Emporium (downtown location - Central Parkway)

for non-trans identified people who have, are currently, or may be dating/partnering with trans*,

genderqueer, gender non-conforming, and/or gender questioning people only.

Coffee Emporium is non-smoking, physically accessible, on the bus line, and is child friendly. Street parking is avaialable as well as a public lot accross the street.

Every 4th Wednesday, 7pm - 9pm - Community Night at Caracole 

for trans* (under transgender or transsexual umbrella, genderqueer, gender non-conforming, fluid, and

gender questioning) and non-trans folks, friends, family, partners, and allies

Caracole is non-smoking, physically accessible, on the bus line, has a parking lot, is child friendly, and has two all-gender bathrooms.

Meeting Practices:

All MTQWI and CTCG meetings and events practice within MTQWI's Safer Space and Accessibility Policy. In order to promote mutual respect and encourage sharing during meetings, it is asked that people arrive on time. In the event that attendee(s) will be arriving more than 20 minutes late it is asked that people arrive on the hour (8pm) to minimize meeting disruption. Also, CTCG asks that people put phones on vibrate/silent and refrain from texting or using computers/laptops meetings to promote an active listening space and mutually supportive enviroment.
